Meet The Practitioners

Every patient is unique, with their particular needs, and we tailor care to meet them where they are, whether that’s an adjustment, a visit to our naturopath, massage therapist, or an acupuncture session. If we refer out for physios or other practitioners, patients know they’ll receive the same level of care.

Our doctors have received advanced training in prenatal and pediatric care, but we continue to see patients of all ages and conditions and have a soft spot for our seniors! We have become a generational practice, caring for adults who started in pediatric care with us.

Dr. Karen Beal, Chiropractor

When I was a student attending the University of Toronto, I had headaches and neck pain on a daily basis. My boyfriend (now husband) suggested that I go see a chiropractor. Upon my visit, the chiropractor examined my spine and could tell that misalignment of the bones in my neck was causing my pain. After 1 month of adjustments, my body was pain free. That was when I decided that I wanted to become a chiropractor.

Dr. Natalie Messmer, Chiropractor

After a traumatic birth, my mother wanted to have me checked out to make sure I was okay. She took me to her chiropractor when I was just a few days old for my first adjustment. Within a couple adjustments, she said I was like a new baby. I was sleeping better and overall, a very content baby. My mother continued to take me to the chiropractor for regular wellness visits, and I strongly believe it has kept me healthy into adulthood. I continue to get adjusted weekly, and rely on it to keep me well.

Dr. Romi Raina, Naturopath

My journey in medicine began long before becoming an ND. I worked in a community health center in Manaus, Brazil, alongside traditional healers in Q’eqchi, Guatemala and I was a medic in the Canadian Forces for nearly twenty years.

After obtaining degrees in Science and Anthropology from McMaster University I was inspired to learn a holistic form of medicine that maintains a scientific approach, so I pursued Naturopathic Medicine. Now I’m licensed by the College of Naturopaths of Ontario and I’ve been practicing since 2008.
